Does anyone have any ideas for how to deal with highly stressful family situations without giving yourself a seizure? I'm having trouble keeping my seizures to a minimum with my family lately. My family has been putting me in a lot of highly stressful situations, and my seizures keep getting worse. Trying to talk to them about it is like talking to a wall. I think don't engage in the argument just walk away, speak calming affirmations to yourself for example it's okay , I'm fine, don't stress, just let it go , just breathe.
You will be surprised how self talk can be really affective especially positive uplifting ones.

note: i do not have seizures.
i do a couple of things to release the stress.
i exercise. just walking for a couple of minutes will reduce the stress.
i use vitamins. i take omega 3, green tea, and cbd oil to calm the mind (both the stress and anxiety).
i doodle. hobbies or writing stuff down (mostly when you are mad stress) is a good way to release without getting into trouble.
i laugh. my hole family is joking around. it is hard to stress out or anxiety when you laugh. just don't laugh at others... then you will become a bully.
i deep breath/meditate. i just say (excuse my french) 'breath in the good (inhale for a couple sec), breath out the bullshit (exhale for a couple sec)'
i listen to music. mostly when i am done with set person(s), i go to a spot and listen to music. mostly my favorite hits. note: sometimes i listen to music and doodle.
and i have many pets. sometimes just petting my dog or cat will make me feel better. and sometimes change my mood.
i think i don't have stress seizures is because i do those things... and some of um are after an argument and/or a heated event.

I try to use a bit if humor when other’s especially family members begin to cuase me stress.

Knowing the stress is nothing more than a thought an idea or persceprion, that no one is every really going to comprehend.

And love them anyway.🤗

I do cbd oils as well my animals comfort me i do have to take stress meds but EvertonSilva is right try to talk to him about about it all of us have had to talk to people about it it is hard but it can be worth it to have both of you understand eachother😊💜
