Hi everyone. My son has had both of his seizures in his sleep. He's been sleeping in our room for months now. We want to feel safe and want him to feel safe sleeping in his own bed. This is really a scary thing for us though. His last seizure was about 5 minutes. Can anyone recommend seizure alert devices that can be worn comfortably for a 9 year old? Thanks

First you should time all these sezuires. Seziures lasting 5 minutes or longer are when yoi need to go to the hospital or emergency room for percoconary reasons.

I Have seziures in my sleep although small lasting only about 20 to 30 seconds sometimes up to 1 minute
I know nothing about and sleep right thru them I'll only know if i had onr if i wake up tired and exhausted and disoreanted. I have these now in my 40s and in my 30s
In my younger years and teens I mostly had violent grand mals while awake or if i was asleep i be able to know as it would come wth a weird aura that would wake me up.unfortunatly I don't know of any device that would help monitor his seziures in his sleep.

Hi David! Thanks for the response. We've taken him to the emergency room both times. Unfortunately I've been so panicked both times I didn't time it. However my "call asap 911" text message gave us a rough idea of how long it was. It was about 5 minutes till it stopped. I'm so nervous to have him out of sight at night. Just need to find something reliable to help monitor him while he's sleeping
