I was on lamictal while I was pregnant. My neurologist said it doesn't harm the baby however i had to also take iron pills and folic acid pills to even everything out in my body and blood sugar.

I was on Dilantin & have had 2 babies. My Drs. both kept a good watch over me but I felt better when I was pregnant than I usually did. You need to keep your Drs aware of how you are feeing. It was recommended that I bottle feed instead of nursing so that the baby wouldn't be exposed to my meds any longer than necassary .Both babies were healthy.

You need to check it's suitability from your Neuro or Specialist Nurse who can advise you of the safest ones to take For my last 2 pregnancies I was on Tegretol Fortunately babies were fine ( grown adults) The only thing I was told in the late 80's was that the med would probably come through in breast milk
