Has Anyone Struggled With Mood Swings On Keppra?

Question

l Ive been taking keppra for about a week now. the dizziness and light headedness has subsided, but i feel like the mood swings are starting to kick in. im not sure if its just in my head or if its real. ive never struggled with depression, and ive always been a genuinly happy person. so hopefully its just the meds and it will pass. if anyone has any experiences, please let me know!

it depends on the person. i still take keppra and i still have (at times) keppra rage. i get hulk angry. my cure for the rage is vitamin 'milk thistle'.

I've never had any problems with Levetiracetum. The amount of the Med per day is 5000 mg.....2500 in morning and 2500 at night. Also take 2 other Meds for Epilepsy. The only thing is itchy with My skin

I was suicidal on it to the extent where I wouldn't look and just cross the road hoping it wouldn't hurt. I have suffered depression. My Dr put me on Vimpat and also Lamictal AED which is often used as a mood stabiliser

I was also on keppra and experienced immense mood swings. It made my home life and work life awful. When I told my neuro about it, he switched me over to vimpat and it's been working just fine. The mood swings are gone. Good luck!
