Can Tremors Possibly Cause A Seizures?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've been getting the tremores that are minor. The tremores come out of nowhere during the day and evening. Can they possibly cause a seizure at all?

I've been struggling with these seizures. I have tremors and then the absence seizure comes. Been down for 10 months but doing better. I have to isolate myself from everyone including family. I cant drive and have to stay in bed alot. Tremors come any time day or night. I also have monoclonic jerks. My neurologist is testing more to see if these tremors are actual seizures or other neurological concern. When they come I lose the ability to write or use my right hand. Hang in there

I developed tremors last year and it was because of the epilem I had been on for 10 years, apparently it can cause tremors if taken for a long time ( I was also on other meds to ) I am now taking Briviact and the tremors are going, only have them now when in eating or texting but hopefully they will be gone completely in the next few weeks. The tremors did not seem to make a difference to my seizures but they haven’t been controlled for a long time, speak to your doctor as it could be a side effect of the meds your on.
Hope you get sorted and they stop xx

I get tremors from my medication but they don't seem to effect seizures, at least very often.

If you have brain tumors, then yes. It is possible to have seizures. Even when the tumor is removed,it’s possible for the seizures to continue.
