Advice On Taking Medication
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am currently prescribed levitracetam (Keppra). I am on 2500mg daily as well as clobazam, I am meant to take 1250 keppra in the morning along with another 1250 at night with the clobazam. My problem is I am extremly forgetful and more often forget the morning dose and I am having seizures. Does anyone know if its ok to take one single does in the evening as this would be so much easier for me. Any advice would be greatful, thank you

I take 1000mg of Keppra 3 times a day and I as well have trouble remembering. I've found out the hard way that not taking medication as the doctor says to only creates problems. I'll usually set an alarm to remind me to take my medicine and use a pill box as a further reminder.

I downloaded an app that reminds me to take my pills at the same time morning and night.

Put a plastic pill holder fill both morning medicine in the top and that your morning medications then have for bedtime med and fill the week with that you fill them on Sunday night so Monday though Sunday your med will be laid out for you when you get up Monday and go to take you go to the plastic pill holders that said Monday and you take out the med and you see that it is empty leave it . Continue with night medications till Sunday night then refill the plastic pill container again,

The annoying thing about medication is that the side effects are forgetfulness so you forget to take your meds and even if you did you forget if you did or not, it’s crazy! I got something that helps me a lot https://www.pilldrill.com/how-it-works it’s affordable and I am not one of those ppl who get paid for talking about it, lol, it’s just great having another brain!
