Hi,

Quick question for those with bipolar and epilepsy. Are any of you on rescue meds? I’ve recently been prescribed buccal midazolam and Clonazepam and wondering on the effects it may have on my bipolar. Eg. As they’re benzo’s what happens if prescribed a benzo for mania or “midazolam may cause mood disturbances”- well when you have a mood disorder it’s not what you need. I’m wondering if this is something to be concerned about or am I overthinking lol

Ask a pharmacist. They know a lot about interactions between medicines. Sometimes more so than the doctors.

I dont have bipolar disorder but I do have borderline personality disorder.
