Do You Think Epilepsy (seizures) Get Better Or Worse With Age?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Do you think you outgrow them or they come more consistently as you get older...?

I have had epilepsy for 43 years. I am now 48. I think it varies on the person and the medications. My seizures were worse in my teens, but I believe that was due to the changing of my body. Because as I grew up my medication had to be increased.Last seizure awake was in 2010 due to running short of medication. Before that was in my early twenties. The only seizures I rarely have now are when I’m sleeping. If my wife didn’t tell me I wouldn’t even know.

I started out with epilepsy when I was 3. I had fever convulsions. My seizures are getting better. When I was younger I got grand mal seizures. My doctor put me on Onfi along time ago and my seizures got better. I only had 1 seizure this month.

that is a million dollar question because everyone is different and different types and different peoples effects, ect. i went with every med and i still have seizures everyday. i had surgery and still didnt work like it should. i still had seizures everyday or every other day. i am now seizure free but thats because of cbd oil and i need to take a lot of it for it to work. and that miracle vitamin med thing cost a shit load of money.

Rene, I hope you start feeling better. Hang in there, things will get better. GOD doesn't give us more than what he thinks we can't handle. Chat with you later. Take care. GOD BLESS!

That is when I make funny noises and my head goes back and forth. Sometimes I laugh and then I cry. That only happens once in a while. It would be very imbarricing if it happens in public. I can talk back on the non epileptic but I can't on the epileptic seizures. I go to a psychologist for my non epileptic. I am on Onfi and it works very good.
