Yes, I have fibromyalgia as well. My seizures got ignored for a long time because I had Lyme disease as a teenager and all my complaints were blankets under that.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member there is still so much more research to be done. Some rheumatologist refuse to even treat patients with it.
but mine was actually found through a blood test! It's called Fm/a. It was positive. I had specific biomarkers for it. I have chronic pain but not the some of the other classic Fibromylagia pain specific points. My pain is more like severe growing pains like children get.
I have Fibromyalgia also. I thought that researchers are still on the fence as to whether Fibromyalgia is autoimmune. I have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and Rheumatoid Arthritis which are both known autoimmune disorders.
The doctor told me i have autoimmune epilepsy too
i do. what type is it? i have celiacs disease. celiacs disease is where you attack the weakest link in your body if you eat wheat, rye, and/or barley. it is an autoimmune thing. my hole family has it but only i have the seizures. some have it bad like bone disease, or seizure and others are ok like mood swings and constipation or diarrhea.
