I’ve been on lamictal to start, and then the generic since 2005. My dose has gone from 200mg to 600mg recently, plus 75mg of toprimate to combat the headache I get from the generics. My question is with all these changes in generic tablets, could and are they effecting my symptoms? Recently my generic tablet changed again and I immediately started feeling different. @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member i know keppra side effects are tired and dizzy. and i used to take tegretol and its the same thing. i googled the side effects of Lamotrigine and guess what... that dizzy, tired thing is in the 1st and 3rd things. the 2nd is double vision. i think its the meds that makes you tired and/or dizzy.
So similar to my story. I sometimes have to take super long naps because I can hardly function. I call them Lamotrigine headaches. I had one today and slept almost 3 hours. Not really what a mom needs.
I'm having the same problem with my lamotrigine increase from 200mg to 600 mg. I'm getting extremely dizzy off it and it knocks me out. My blood levels are not increasing so my doctor thinks I'm not taking them properly.I never miss a dose. I'm also on 3500 mg Keppra and 1600 of tegretol. I'm getting tired of not get an answer from my doctor
When the manufacturer is changed, I sometimes have a seizure, that I can blame it on.
