I haven't flown long haul in 4 years because I was terrified though I have been seizure free for 2 and half years. I finally took the plunge and was on a 15 hr flight. I had my meds,Dr's certificate with me. Didn't even think about epilepsy. I did it, I fullfilled my dream to go to New York Time Square. Took a 4hr flight to Trinidad. Best time and holiday of my life!! Note to self: never limit yourself. Go and enjoy your flight..
I am on my 3rd VNS. I board the plane first so I can tell the flight attendant that I have epilepsy and how to use the magnet just in case I should have a seizure while flying. They always thankful and appreciate it. Most of them haven't heard of the VNS, so it helps to educate them. They always thank me. ๐
