Hi, I have Complex Partial Siezures, I take 2 different types of medicine but I also started taking CBD oils, I don't find the Oil is working. Or is it maybe the Company's I'm using? Or would Vaping be better?
I have gran mal seizures and for 15 years the doctors still can't tell me why. I take keppra and lamictal and it controls to an extent but whenever i get stressed i end up having one or more seizures in a row. Being a single parent fighting social security to keep my benefits doesn't help with the stress and the meds cause me some memory problems. One thing i did notice was when i smoke marijuana my seizures decrease but its not legal where i live. But i went almost 2 years with no seizures while i was smoking pot.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member i too have complex partials and take cbd oils and my meds. with oils there is different strengths. you maybe getting the lesser strength. the oil has about 4 strength. i take the 2nd out of 4.
as for the others @MyEpilepsyTeam users... it was immediate works. i used to have seizures every day. i have been on the oil the beginning of summer and i had about 3 kinda seizures since then (about an aura a month). when i tried the low stuff , in the beginning, i still had 1 seizure a week or so. when i upgraded i knew my seizures were at bay.
everyone. i take koi 250 mg at night and my meds every morning and night and vitamins morning or night. with the oil i take 1/2 a measuring dropper in the lower tongue and wait about a minute or to. the good thing about koi oils is they mask the smell.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member there are different types and strengths of cbd oil. and some have commercial oils, where the cbd itself is less than 100 mg.
i have complex partials and i need the strong stuff. i take 250 mg. add oddly enough the cbd store is called 'vaped! cbd oil'.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member in NC there is a 'the Epilepsy Alternative Treatment Act'. it is passed july 2015 and it grants patients diagnosed with intractable epilepsy access to low-THC hemp extract as an alternative form of treatment. ask you dr now because i think in 2021 it will end if studies fail to show conclusive evidence of CBD’s therapeutic properties.
