Hi @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member . The main reason for my Grid electrodes being placed under the skull while connected to the EEG , is to help map out exactly where the seizures are located . I only had to do this procedure, because they needed to know what part of my brain, they were going to cut out during my brain surgery.

On the normal basis we would only do the EEG

Your welcome.. although I did forget to that after about two weeks after being out of the hospital they removed the stitches. It still took my skull and the part of my Brain they removed, 6-8 month to heal like I said above.

I had that surgery done. What they did is opened my skull and placed the electrodes directly on the brain. They just closed it back up after the test and I healed no problem. They still couldn't pinpoint the spot the seizures come from because the seizures come on very quickly, It was a waste of time and money and a big scar that I have to hide. Good luck getting results if you get that done.
