Does Anyone Else Get Concentration Problems, Felling Dizzy Or Can't Recognize Where You Are? How Do You Deal With It?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Once in a while I feel dizzy & have a hard time concentrating. Like, I don't know where I am, I feel dizzy & I end up falling asleep. I usually deal with it by watching my favorite shows & playing video games. Who else has this problem? How do you deal with it?

If it isnt memorised i am pretty much end up lost. I keep telling myself or reading the numbers or words over and over in my head or look at something near it to remember like a tree i like or something that is more of my interest. If your dizzy or tired give yourself that healthy nutrients it needs and if you dont feel good take as many naps as u need. If i feel dizzy it usually means i didnt eat healthy enough to feel ok or im just tired so go to sleep. I got sick of feeling so lifeless i started eatin even more vitamins and minerals and stuff my brain needed and excersized and i actually felt more empowered alert and healthy but thats up to you as you please

I do.
I find that sleeping after having a seizure helps me reset my brain to normal.
I do have dizzy spells, and concentration issues at times even if I don't have a seizure.
I have memory problems to where I feel like I can't remember what I did earlier today. I have blackout Seizures which are where I am not aware of what I'm doing, where I am, who people are, and what happens afterwards. The blackouts are the ones that require me to sleep after, or I'm just mindless.

Yeah all the time. It’s so hard. I like what the first person answered. I think for me I need to take better care of myself and just TRY to exercise and eat healthy and play brain games and read during the times I can. Whe. I let myself feel worse, I feel worse...if that makes sense.

When I’m around others and I get a wave of confusion I just change the subject or ask clarifying g questions to try to get back to a point where I remember what’s going on.

For me that was meds or petit seizures. High protein diet or change in meds worked for me. But that was just me.
