Antidepressants/lamotrigine
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone having success with anti-depression? I've been on lamotrigine for 18 months and, if I take too much I get toxic (strangest experience) . I can live with that to avoid seizures but the worst part is depression. I've tried escitalipram, sertraline, and imipramine. All of them caused seizures. Too bad, because the imipramine worked really well but only for 3-4 days.
I've read that topiraamate is a better AED that is also better for depression than lamotrigine. Any experiences?

look into Lexapro. I take lots of pills that can cause both anxiety and depression and Lexapro keeps me level
