Depending on where the seizures hit in the brain. It can make us struggle with speech. Then there are medications that can make it hard too.

I have only had epilepsy for a year but I have noticed a change in my speech. I really noticed the other day talking to my friend on skype. I combine words a lot & sometimes it’s really hard to think of a word. It can be frusturating at times because I have difficulty pronouncing words & the words I often forget are simple words.

Tell Me about it! My Husband and I are speaking back and forth, then I can't get the word out. He's standing there waiting for Me just blank with what I'm saying then He walks away. A couple of minutes later the word comes out.... Too bad for HIM!!!

Hi Len, I believe it does. Sometimes I do not even understand what am saying and have to repeat it.
