Surges In Brain Causing Head Movement, Lamotrigine Side Effects
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone experienced brain surges or zap feelings in their brain causing your head to jerk? I am taking 200 mg ER Lamotrigine and am curious if it could be a side effect of the med. Also, if you are taking Lamotrigine, what side effects have you experience?. I have memory issues, my balance is off, trouble sleeping at night, and surges in my brain causing my head to jerk as a response to the "shock" feeling that goes through my head.

My daughter takes Lamictal and she has lots of side effects. Coordination problems, double vision, confusion. She has basically been on every seizure medication but the Lamictal has caused the fewest side effects of the others.
