I take it, and others. In the last few years, I have hearing loss and tinnitus. I Have seen hearing specialist had hearing test done. It's the meds and a part of aging (for me).

I am in a similar position to @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member in not being familiar with it. Her suggestion is also of value: search online for information about it as well as your pharmacist or pharmacy and/or other medical professionals, who might have information on it. Either Google it or call your pharmacy. They would have the most up-to-date information.

I've taken zonegran in the past and didn't notice that issue. The only noticeable side effect for me was hair loss. I normally have really thick hair and it thinned it out a lot. I don't recall any hearing loss with it at all though. I was working at a doctor's office at the time, so I would have noticed any hearing issues. Some people have different side effects though, so maybe it just didn't cause that problem with me. I'd ask the neurologist about it.
