I take Fycompa(perampanel), Vimpat(lacosamide), and Frisium(Clobazam). The last one has been around for awhile, the Fycompa’s pretty new only one pill a day.

I take keppra, vimpat, and now Aptiom for right temporal lobe epilepsy. I mainly have complex partial seizures that are now pretty much controlled on the 3 meds. I have a few partials here and there, but no big deal. Aptiom is a pretty new med. It's expensive b/c there's no generic yet. But, there is a discount card online if you look it up. Search Aptiom discount card. There is one for Vimpat too. It brought my copay down from 60 a month to 10 a month for aptiom. It is a once a day drug and I like it. It does cause dizziness and unsteadiness and a little nausea, but now I'm fine. It works well with others, but all are different. Good luck. PS- A neurologist pulled me off Tegretol at 18 b/c he thought I grew out of my seizures and I made it almost a year and had a grand mal and ended up in the hospital and back on it. Be careful and good luck!!

You know something, for 33 years I did not have 1 seizure, and then I moved. I moved from Va. to N.C. and then, I started having seizures almost daily! I asked my Neurologist why that was and she said that it was the stress of moving down here, and 'uprooting' myself where I was settled for so long with family, church, work, family and more.
