I took Keppra for about 8 years until I gained a tolerance to it. Never experienced any of those symptoms except the slurred speech and that worked itself out. Been on meds since I was two and worried about long-term effects. Happy to say that I just got back from neuropsych testing and have a strong memory(gave me a huge confidence boost, I think I assumed my memory was poor because of all of the meds). If you’re really worried about your memory, mention it to your neurologist and get neuropsych testing done. Take care

I have been on Keppra for the past 3 to 4 years along with Carbamazepine (so sad not being able to remember exactly how long I have been on a medication), anyhow, I have experience all of the symptoms you mention in your question. As far as the long term side effects of these symptoms, I cannot tell and hope someone else provides a better and more useful answer.

Lots of memory problems and hot flashes

I have those same 3 problems! My memory is getting worse by the day and have had slurred speech and hot flashes, but I have also lost my eyebrows and my hair is coming out in different areas. I don't know if my low blood sugar spells have been coming from this or not?

I was on Keppra 7 years ago, for 1 year. And they were no help to me.
