I know this is a really random question but i used to love pizza and then i read somewhere that people with episodes couldnt eat pizza so stopped eating it. Is that true
It is carbs and for some people carbs trigger seizures. If you make pizza with a no carb crust then you can eat it.
"Fathead pizza" is the my favorite low carb pizza. You can google the recipe. It's easy to make!
hay @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member my family has an auto immune disorder called celiacs disease. we cant have grains and some dairy. if we do it attacks the weakest link. mine was seizures. there is a gf pizza using tapioca and potato starch crust.
So, i just ran across this thread. I know it’s really old and it’s gotten many answers. I am a chef, pizza dough is essentially white bread which IS one of the foods we’re supposed to avoid. It has the same ingredients. With the addition of a bit of olive oil. Even those that use a blend, the blend includes a high percentage of bread flour in most cases.
I eat pizza all the time with no problem, just stay away from spicy things, and Parsley and things with ginseng, that can cause a sz.
