Im doing a research paper on this and i would lobe your input
Driving was the one thing that I felt deprived of.
And all I ever wanted to do was drive~ When I was a teenager alll of my friends
were getting their licenses and I couldn't.
So I waited~ In 1990,while in the middle of a visit to my neurologist he suddenly
said "You can get your license now "! My answer to that was "You're kidding right????
"No, you've been seizure free for over ten years"
Real life has a way of throwing you a curve ball, and in May of 2012 I was
diagnosed with Tyype II Diabetes.
So now I'm dealing with Epilepsy & Diabetes.
The Epilepsy I have under control, but the Diabetes is sometimes kicking me in the butt.
I've decided not to get my license after all .
If you are sezuire free you should drive if you want to.πππππ
I'd be lost without driving as well as no job , as long as someone takes their meds & seizure free they have a right to drive ,, it's like saying you have 1 eye only so u can't drive
I don't even attempt to drive because if I'm behind the wheel of a car and I feel that aura coming on, I could go into a seizure and have an accident, and die or take the life of someone else.
I cant drive because of my seizures and drove for a long time before it was taken. I think that it depends but my seizures are so bad i wouldnt want to drive and hurt me or others.
