I had VNS implanted 6 weeks ago today. I had it turned on 4 weeks ago and turned up on Thursday. It is supposed to go off every 5 minutes for 30 seconds. It has been going off every 1 to 3 minutes for 30 seconds. Sometimes it starts again almost as soon as it stops. I'm going to call my neurologist, but I am just curious if anyone else has experienced this.

It started out as discomfort, but I can honestly say it hurts now! Giving it a few weeks to adapt to it. It technically feels like an intermittent ear infection! Good news is I know it only lasts forn30 seconds. If it will control the seizures, I will learn tondealmwith it I guess.
What’s CBD oil and does it work ?
I'm officially 5 months past mine was placed. Still getting pain each and every time it goes off. Pain is in my throat shooting into my ear for 30 seconds and I sound like I have severe laryngitis during those 30 second intervals. My voice goes back to normal afterwards.
I suffer through it because it does seem to be helping the frequency, severity, and length of time between seizures. Along with 2 meds that are the only ones that don't make me feel sick as a dog, CBD oil, I have most of my life back. Watching hubby get a new car the other day was a bit difficult for me. I'm itching to drive it...oh, well. He bought me my dream oven/stove so I can continue doing what makes me happy and keeps me going...baking and cooking!

Consider "I'M TAKING IT TOUGH" you'll get used to it. But does get annoying if singing
I have a RNS brain implant. Not sure the difference. I'm sorry
