Members connected over the frustrating and isolating experience of having a seizure disorder with no clear explanation, sharing that they too received diagnoses without answers or family history to explain them. Several members offered helpful insights, including a possible connection between epilepsy and diabetes, the role of thyroid disease as a potential cause, and one member sharing that celiac disease was the root of their own seizures. A recurring theme was the emotional weight of living with unexplained seizures, including the daily challenges of not driving, relying on loved ones, and holding onto hope that things will improve.

My brother and I both have epilepsy and don't know why- neither of us have gotten anything on eeg either. No other of my family members have epilepsy. Are your seizures related to your blood sugar levels? I've heard lots of people who have both epilepsy and diabetes. Honestly they kinda go hand in hand. But diabetic seizures are different than epileptic ones (they can look the same just different cause). They're technically called nonepileptic seizures because there's a reasonable explanation.

short version is, celiac is a fancy word for 'grains in your body'. you see there is a part of the gut where you brake down grains. we don't have that. if we have most types of grains, it will attack the weakest link.
unfortunately my weakest link was when i had my kindergarten busters. my brain was in overload and then the seizures started.
