Poor Immune System Is Related To Epilepsy
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

We are pretty new to the world epilepsy in fact we don't even have a strong diagnosis however my son seems to always be out any virus that goes around he catches and seems to affect him much worse than everyone else typically end up in the hospital a couple times a year and on oxygen minimum of once a year just curious if there's a correlation between poor immune system's and epilepsy

yes, i have a disease called celiac disease. i can't have wheat, rye, and barley. if i have any of it, it will attack the weakest link. my hole family has it but in different ways. my brother used to go to the hospital all the time. i have seizures from it. and much more.
go ask them about the celiac disease and your kids visits to the hospital. it might be the key to the problem.

I was taking multi-vitamins to replace everything my medicine took from my body. Ask his doctor if you can give him kid's immune booster vitamins or just regular kid's multi-vitamins. My medication ended causing me to have a deficiency so I don't know and it effecting him bad enough to end up in the hospital but vitamins and level checking are a definitely good things.
