I have now found out that I have non seizure epilepsy which is something that I never knew existed. Only 1 in 20 have this and I realise that this is what my problems are and has been causing loads of different things like double vision, headaches, shaking and palpitations. Knowing this has really really caused me to find out that I will never drive again as this was my greatest love.
A person can have both nonepileptic and epileptic seizures. NES are usually related to a mental health problem. The physical symptoms may be caused by emotional conflicts or stress. One example of NES is psychogenic seizures, sometimes called pseudoseizures.
I've heard of people having it. They told my parents that the my first seizure that I had when I was ten was non-epileptic. I didn't have another seizure until I was eighteen, and that's when I was diagnosed with epilepsy.
