Has Anyone Had Seizures Triggered By Nail Polish?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I haven't had a seizure in quite a while. However, after putting nail polish in an enclosed room I think I had a drop seizure.

I'm not sure if it is this or an increased carb intake that caused the seizure. I am on the ketogenic diet but my levels would still be considered high (2.8) and able to control my seizures. My other guess is that I just fainted from low blood sugar.

When I have seizures I smell rubber, in the hospital I asked them to change my pillow because it smelled like rubber, I heard them talking in the hallway about it could be a siezure.

i know that when mom gets the nail remover can cause arras, well some nail removers. when mom does nails, she removes the old nails and then gets the new nails polish. the combo is so smelly that i first have a headache. then ether nothing or arras, or space-out.
