Both my brother and I have epilepsy and we both have febrile seizures as an infant. My older brother (the one without epilepsy), never had febrile seizures. It's definitely related in some form. And very common

Why not? Just curious...... My son had 1 prolonged febrile seizure at age 4. More than one physician has indicated that the epileptic seizures after having a febrile occur 10 years later approximately in the teenage years. I have believed that to be true because there hasn't been any other rationale how epilepsy came about.

Yes, but I (NOT a doctor) don't think it causes epilepsy.....a seizure or two, yes.....epilepsy, no. That's my opinion.

Yes although I am not sure that I believe it
