How many women get sezuies when on their period. Me I seem to get them way more when I'm on my period. So I take more kepra when it's that time of month . I take keppra 3000 mg twice a day but when on my period I take 4000 twice a day . But I still get them .

I told my neurologist the same thing! He said yes that happens... that's it no help no better advise. So glad I'm on this site and can find people that relate and it's not just deal with it

I had to see a woman's health specialist who actually helped stop my seizures with better hormone control as i have polycystic it was my severe hormonal/chemical imbalances that were bringing the seizures on. I am now 6 periods/ovulation down & no seizures so far, touch wood (hate saying i haven't had 1 i jinx myself) my gp used to not take me seriously when i said it was my periods & up all my meds so girls keep going till you find what works for you but maybe a visit to your gynecologist & getting extra advice or another point of view might be worth a thought? 😊

Me! I get them only when I'm on my period and for whatever reason doctors seem to think that I'm crazy for only having them during then. From my own private research of myself, horomones in a woman almost double during a pd so having seizures isn't a crazy thought. I keep track using an excel spread sheet of my monthly periods, sexual activity, seizures, panic attacks, etc.. and when another doc tells me my seizures around only a period is "strange" or "crazy" then I show them a yearly spread sheet and see how they help then. I currently take 600mg of zonisamide daily to help my seizures and 800mg during my period. Only problem is it makes my panic attacks worse.

Since my seizures are far & in between, not to mention that I cannot sense I'm about to seize.
