We all have our own fears of differing people and in different positions. In teaching situations, I tend to get comfortable quickly. However, giving a sermon to members of my mother's church was frightful and a few missteps were taken, years ago. With a doctorate in ministry, still don't want to give sermons. It may be part of my reasoning, in joining Quaker Universalist Fellowship.
In psychology, the terms extravert (tends to outside oneself) and introvert (tends to inner oneself). Some of our fears can be viewed from the position we each put ourselves in along this scale in relation to those around us and what is taking place. May God be with you in handling fears ๐Ÿ˜Š
