My son is 12 now and was diagnosed with generalized Epilepsy a little over a year ago. He has grand mal and absent seizures. He has taken Depakote and is currently on Lamictal, Keppra and Zirotin. None of these seemed to be able to control his seizures. He normally has one evey three months. Lately hes having them more frequently. For example a lil over a month now hes having one every two weeks. They were tryingto pull him off of Keppra but had to put him back on full dose

I started CBD oil last spring and it's made a BIG difference for me. I used to have grands twice a month, plus petites. Now they're under control for the first time since 1987. I can handle stress (physical and otherwise) better than I used to too. Of course I have not stopped taking my other meds. Go to The Realm of Caring and CWHemp.com for more information. It doesn't work for everybody but nothing does. I would suggest sticking with the brands suggested (and tested) by The Realm of Caring as there are a lot of copy cat brands out there who don't test each batch to make sure the THC is at a bare minimum so the people taking it don't have to worry about getting high.
Forgot to tell you that I take the strongest of the three strengths of CW oil. I put the oil under my tongue (absorbs into the body better than the stomach) for five to ten minutes three times a day along with my other meds.
I am 50yrs started seizures at age 23yrs.... I now have had the VNS implant for 4yrs now and use cannabis as regularly as I can! I usually put the oil in capsules eaiser for me. But if younger, give some juice after, takes the taste away quickly! I myself still am on high doses of Keppra and 200mg twice a day of Vimpat....
This does not make them go away completely!!! Almost go a while and have to be careful because I get independent when I don't have a seizure for a few weeks....because I have forgotten my magnet when going to the store...thank goodness had no incidence.
I feel so much better! I still have seizures, but the recovery time is slim to none! If a bad one, which now days is like I just go away in my head and my body tenses up, but there is usually there to help swipe the magnet....those I usually have to nap after. But again they are far enough between that it almost feels like there is a little bit of healing time in between!!! And the best is no ambulance ride to the hospital!!! Before this that was a weekly thing for me!!! Now I just focus on my body....thinking ,feeling, doing,eating,drinking...,all affects my seizures!!!
