Does anyone else that has grand mal seizure disorder have ever dealt with memory loss because with everyone of the grand mal I have my memory is getting worse
My memory loss has to do mainly with me having epilepsy itself. My memory hasn't been that good anymore since I was diagnosed with epilepsy during the age of 17-18 years of age. That's what makes having epilepsy frustrating for me and I'm sure to everyone else with epilepsy
After a seizure I always experience memory loss. Hours days and sometimes even weeks. I should write things down, half the time I can't remember where I put it. Hehehe. If it weren't for my beloved It would be worse. I try word association, on a calendar peoples names exctra. I have a friend named Sid, ( Sydney Australia) it sure helps me. Have a very nice day.@CoryBettison. Hope this suggestion helps :) Dena Drew.
Yes is the memory loss long-term or just short term memory loss the short-term is normal irrigated over period of time and sometimes it's not as bad as others it just depends on how the severity of the seizure was
I have black outs rather than grand mal. However I find my memory isn't what it was or should be. When I awake from a seizure I have no clue of time. I always ask what time is it after every seizure. One the wife said I had been out 12 hours.
And now I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety this July
