Struggling To Find The Right Words?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Hi guys ! does anyone else struggle with words sometimes? When in a conversation with someone I find myself sitting there for a few seconds looking for a word (even the most simple words). Its embarrassing. Its like my brain is just stuck. it stinks

Sandy,
When I have a seizure, My Husband will tell Me later in the day or couple of days later. He will say it's medium or bad, not what really happened. My Daughter is different. She knows exactly to watch and knows what to tell the Neurologist.

Grasping for words, fishing for words, ever since I started meds for seizures.

Hi Samantha,
Excellent question! I was wondering if anyone else experiences that very same thing!
I struggle with words all the time. I'm not sure if it's caused by epilepsy/seizures or possibly the meds?
I understand the feeling of embarrassment, the issues that come along with epilepsy are extremely frustrating!

Support groups such as this are very useful and informative.

I hope this helps?

Samantha,
My Husband and Daughter can't find the right words! Sometimes it's on the"tip of My tongue" and then it comes out. It could be Absence seizures or just can't think! It's hard to know that either a seizure or it's just can't think of it!πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

Samantha,
I think sometimes it doesn't have My Epilepsy at all... I think about it and then the word comes up and the same with My Husband.. I usually think of it first!
