Does Anyone Have Status Epilepticus?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have just been told my epilepsy has worsened to now being status epilepticus which has really scared me. I have been given buccolam for only family members to use, has anyone else used this medication and how did they react when used?

Thanks calley, my neurologist is the one who came to my house to explain everything and showed me and my family how to use the buccolam liquid in the syringe. My neurologist is really good, I'm very lucky.

I've had a max of 16 in a row and I haven't woken between any of them hence the worry. The longest they've been are roughly 2 hours total. I don't wake up for another 4 hours then when I wake up I can't respond to anything for a while. Then I do start talking within 30 mins then I go back to sleep for hours.
