I have vertigo that's been more noticeable since brain surgery. During PT I was given a cane for rehab but my Neuro told me the pre-existing vertigo means I should continue to use it and it's not temporary since one of my triggers is heat which means getting around is even worse since I can't drive and wonder if the vertigo might be a deciding factor later since I no longer get the balance tests my old Neuro did

Medications and uneven hearing loss have caused vertigo for me. Slowly stand up, no sudden movements.

I have experienced vertigo both on and off meds. I've never experienced it when up and walking around. Both have had it multiple times while sitting down. The room starts to spin so badly that I have to hold on to the arms of the chair or the table to keep from feeling like I'm flying through the air.
