Has anyone traveled to another time zone more than an hour off and had to alter their medicine dose times? I will be going on a trip that is a 3 hour time change in the fall for a few days and was curious how to alter my medicine schedule. I would leave early on a Saturday morning and come back the following Tuesday morning. I would be going from Eastern standard time to Pacific standard time (3 hours earlier). Anyone have any medicine experience with this? I typically take my medicine around… read more

I live in Australia. I have family in New Zealand. (A 3 hour journey and a 2 hour time difference. I have travelled to the US twice ( both East and West Coast) and to Europ (Greece and Italy)

The simple thing to do is take them the morning you leave.
Add the usuall gap in time. (Say 12 hours then factor in the time difference.
If it is a short time difference (say 3 hours) the time zone doesntt matter.

If it's 12 hours (say NZ to England ) do the factoring for the plane trip then just take the natural time in the new location

If the plane trip is between 8 and 12 hours take one set during the flight.
If less none
If more base the second on your usual 12 hour gap.

Some folk get very regimented in taking their meds.
Your body retains a certain level over time so a journey might confuse you but it won't adversely effect your medication levels.

What are you. Traveling by. Are you going by car or bus, train or plane. actual forget that. With me I would stay at my time schedule for my meds until I get to my destination. Once I there , then wait for the next day and go by that time zone the next day.
