Just realised I forgot to take my tablet this morning and worried now I may have a seizure because of it.
Does missing a dose hurt or not?

I too have missed a pill or two and I called my nurse, she told me to take it as soon as I could, because my body is use to my medication schedule, and by me missing a pill or two neurologist told me the best thing for me to do was take old prescription bottles of the same medications that you're taking put half in one bottle and keep the other in its bottle, have that way you have one bottle on you weather it's in your purse in a book bag or even in the car and then you have pills for at home and each time I get a refill to continue to do that so that way I will never forget to take my medication because I have it on me and I also still have some at home. So I hope this helps

I've had it both ways, I've forgotten a dose and had an epileptic attack and missed a dose and been fine.

I tend to think of it as the drug is the wall and the fit is the attacker. If you are not being attacked then your town is safe whether you have a wall or not but if you have an attack and your walls are down then you are at risk.

I have mine in a daily tablet box on the side showing morning midday and evening boxes so I can see if I have not taken it, might be an idea for you x

My neuro always told me that if I forgot to take it as soon as I remember unless it was time for my next dose, then I was to take the next dose and skip the first one.

According to my neurologist it depends on the meds. The ones I am on I can double up without harm. It also depend on the type of seizures you suffer from and feequency. So far my meds have kept me from having seizures for several months so I don't sweat it if I forget to take them.
