I have had epilepsy since I was 19 and then in 2002 at tests done at David Lewis centre in Cheshire and diagnosed as Non Epilepsy Attack Disorder or NEAD for short and stopped my medication but now today still having seizures 2or 3 times a day can anyone advice me please
I think that most seizures are of course psychological as well as physical, cos of the Fear of having a seizure.
That sound like PNES (Psychological non-epileptic Seizures). Those look like a seizure but are only psychological and not physiological at all. You might want to ask them to see if that is what they meant to say to you. What your having my be only psychological.
it seems real too me still having 2 or 3 daily shaking can be real bad and can last upto an hour or so nighttime is the worst time lately having a lot during night
PNES is Psychological Non-Epileptic Seizures. They look like a seizure but are only psychological in nature and not neurophysiological at all. When you are diagnosed with an EEG they will see abnormal neural activity in the brain, it is chemical electrical.
Happy Birthday Kenneth
