I have a hard time remembering and it might not be EEG. It is a 5 day 4 night test in the hospital to help with my seizures.
That’s a long EEG, which they do to see if there are patterns for when they happen to you.

Has anyone ever been to or had experience with an epilepsy center/hospital that specializes in that? I have an appointment with one, and I am pretty nervous about it. I am looking forward to getting some answers, but I am also nervous for what may lie ahead of me. My neurologist has recently told me that she fears my seizures are becoming "medicine resistant", and I don't have to be a doctor to know that they have been much more frequent in the past two years than they have been most of my life… read more
Pavorotti and Friends! Ever heard that duo with Pavorotti, Eric Clapton and THAT CHOIR?! Or Pavorotti singing with James Btown or Lionel Ritchie???? WOW

Over the last 40 years I haven't had a single eeg that didn't have seizure activity on it. I have an active brain. Before that it was occasional some did some didn't. That was when I was growing up… read more
Has anyone ever done an in-hospital VEEG(mine is going to be 5 days) and NOT had a seizure?
I’m absolutely terrified of this happening. I usually have 3-4 seizures a month. The NP told me if I don’t have a seizure during the VEEG they’re going to say I have PNES(my epileptologist didn’t say this, the NP did). I’m not sure how they can just jump to that if I don’t have a seizure. I don’t understand this!

I have grand mal seizures Myoclonic seizures but my neurologist and I have gone through every test in the book to find where the seizures misfire in my brain. We can not find it, no where? Any ideas?
Going off of what Peanuts said, and I'm not sure where you're located because my everywhere has the technology. But you can go through a process. You probably have done an EMU stay (epilepsy… read more

I know this is a random question but I have to do a at home eeg next week and at the same time the Aus epilepsy project wants to interview me via phone to participate. Anyway I'm pretty sure I can't be on the phone while doing the eeg but..... just to confirm? lol

Just a update with this I went and got hooked up the other day as everyone probably knows by now. I wore my Fitbit to the hook up and was expecting to be told I would have to take it off but as it turns out nope. Not with a… read more
I think home EEGs so not really allow a "normal life" which is what I think they want. I was on the cellphone using my speaker, watching TV or using this laptop. They saw one when I was awake, some… read more
