my morning shower my body wasn’t ready to be dressed for the day so I ended up putting a clean t shirt and pj bottoms back on. Legs and both feet feel completely exhausted today . Was going to make a trip to the store but with this occurring I guess a won’t be today. I guess today will be a pj day for the day and the feet free of anything keeping them covered for the day. It’s just one of those days today.

Several members described adjusting their routines to cope, including choosing comfortable clothing on hard days, using treadmills for gentle movement, and prioritizing sleep, while one member shared their experience researching rigid wheelchairs to preserve energy and independence. A recurring theme was the comfort of feeling less alone, with many expressing that hearing others share similar struggles helped them feel their symptoms were real and valid.

When I fall into this fatigue stage, which happens frequently particularly after a seizure, I try to push through it and not focus on the way I feel. I will try to distract myself with hobbies, staying outdoors or just being with people I like. It's not easy dumping the feeling but if I don't snap out of it, it will lead to other symptoms the worst of which is depression. Don't want that. What I do usually works. You're not alone! Hang in there!

Dave7 this has been a constant battle but in the last year now it’s been more noticeable with the way my lower body feels including both my feet. The short day I have to work I just dread having to put both socks and shoes. Even though this balance issue doesn’t happen on the daily basis is still too unpredictable when it’s gonna happen all this combined. It keeps me very hesitant about leaving the house. I’ve already had a previous coworker tell me to go on a get fitted for a rigid wheelchair to help with this problem. I don’t need test after test to tell me it’s needed my fear and worries aren’t going away anytime soon. I need to increase my independence and be less worried and less fearful.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member This is true. There is so much more we need to learn about seizures. People used to think I was faking. Until they got so bad. My doctor showed me what they looked like on a peice of paper. When I had one when I was hooked up
