Hi! I am looking into maybe going back to school but since I lost my job after my epilepsy surgery I don't have much disposable income. I was thinking about maybe pharmacy I was wondering if anyone knows of any epilepsy scholarships for already graduated adults?.thank you in advance

I pretty sure that the bill that Eric Schmidt just passed in the Senate.

National Plan for Epilepsy Act

is supposed to have that and much more that they passed in the Senate. Now it must get through Congress.

Sean2 for almost 15 years; that is all I had too. I now have the seizures stopped, and I got my bachelor's, and I am getting my master's. I never gave up. I fought back the body and the brain the whole way. I am walking proof that changes can happen. I refuse to give up I am now charting many new paths that doctors and surgeons said would never happen. You can too if you decide not to let yourself give up. This is something that you have to decide. I pray that you choose to see hope; the Lord is there, and He will change your life forever.

I have a high school diploma but it hasn’t done me the least bit of good when I’ve had epilepsy all my life 😢

Next month, for me, will be 12 years seizure-free with surgery! I have come through these challenges, and so can you. There are some for high school graduates, although there are more for students. The easiest way is to go online and ask about epilepsy scholarships. The UCB Scholarship is one that comes to mind. This is a one-time scholarship, but it really helps. Also, as a person from PA, make sure you are in contact with OVR; this group will help get you back to college and more if you qualify. Again, it's a long process, but it is worth it. There are many more, but start there. Also, as a Pittsburgh person, reach out to the Epilepsy Foundation of Western and Central Pennsylvania website, and it will connect you with others. As I said, their group mainly supports kids graduating, but they will connect us with others.

When I graduated from High School here in Michigan, I went to a college they had here(I don't know if it still exists here) it was called STIRC. That stands for State Tech Institute and Rehabilitation Center. It also had dorm rooms. I was going to school for Computer programming. I had to drop out after a year because I was having too many seizures.
