I have been given 10mg tablets of clobozam to take when I feel a seizure coming on to try and prevent it. The problem is it takes about maybe 20 minutes or so to get into my system so sometimes thats not quick enough so I still have the seizure. Is there anything anyone else takes in order to stop a seizure coming on that isnt their regular every day medication?

Different medicines work differently for different people!
The nasal spray medication is faster because it enters your body quicker than medication that is taking orally.
Hi Lydia6 . It’s been awhile that I had cluster seizures . My DBS has helped a lot.
But before that my seizures were and still arent 100% controlled due to Refractory Epilepsy( resistant to the meds ).
If it wasn’t for lorazepam ( Ativan name brand ) my cluster seizures can drain me. Oh my bad days with a cluster seizures could not be out
( exhaustion ) into the next day.
Lorazepam / Ativan helps stop my clusters before I get out of hand.
Today I once in a great while have my cluster seizures. Thanks to my DBS
( deep brain stimulation ) . I haven’t had clusters.
midazolam Nasal spray is most likely the fastest acting rescue med at the moment.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member That actually explains why it took me so long to recover after my last Tonic clonic Seizure. After I had it they had me take 10mg clobazam morning and night for 4 days it did what it had to do but the recovery time just felt like it went on forever. The worst thing I found was like my whole body had just slowed down and I couldn't really move. Then when started moving more it was as if I was re learning what I was doing. The whole thing was about 4 weeks.
