I had a bad seizure on December 31/January 1. I had to stay out of work for two weeks so the gap above my left eye healed up. While having the seizure I was in the bed I ended up going to the floor after I hit the nightstand near the bed. After I went on the floor I continued having the seizure. My head was pounding on the floor while I was having it. What are the some of the side effects of clobazam so that I would know what to watch out for

Members responded warmly to a question about clobazam side effects after a difficult seizure experience, with many sharing that they take it themselves and find it helpful for controlling seizures and reducing anxiety. Several members noted that initial tiredness and feeling spacey are common when starting the medication but tend to improve as the body adjusts, and one member suggested taking a few days off work at first. A recurring theme was the importance of maintaining good nutrition, with members recommending foods like bananas, peanut butter, and potatoes to support potassium and magnesium levels, and supplements like magnesium, omega-3, and B vitamins to balance the effects of seizure medications.

Hi Donald. I have taken Clobazam (I call it Frisium) for years - about 25 years. What it is supposed to do is calm your anxiety. Keep you calm. There are no side effects. The side effects from ALL meds is that they deplete your body of minerals and vitamins. Do you take any supplements to counter the side effects? My meds depleted me of vitamins and minerals as I got Neuropathy and all I was taking then was Calcium. For about 25 years now I have been taking Magnesium, Potassium, Omega 3, Calcium, Zinc, Boron, D3, K2, Selenium and (Strontium - from Amazon). If I had known what the pills do to my body, I would have taken these supplements earlier.
The sooner you take Clobazam (Frisium) the better you will feel.

I am so sorry you had to go through that session. Take Care!!

Clobazam..I to take it, it was explained that is best for me, has it will help with controlling anxiety and stress , which will help control my focal impaired awareness epilepsy, and my essential tremor with additional functional tremors. Which are to related to temple lobe epilepsy. I was told to add non prescribed vitamins, omega 3 fish oil, vitamins B6, B12, and folic acid..to balance my other medications too..

Clobazam is a benzodiazepine medication used to help control seizures. Like all antiseizure medications, it can cause side effects, especially when you first start taking it.

Common side effects to watch for include:

* Drowsiness
* Dizziness
* Appetite changes, weight loss, or upset stomach
* Mood changes
* Problems with memory or attention
* Vision changes

Since clobazam is a sedative, drowsiness and dizziness are particularly common. These effects are usually most noticeable in the first few weeks as your body adjusts to the medication.

One important thing to be aware of: clobazam may increase the risk of aspiration pneumonia (a lung infection that can happen if food or saliva goes into the lungs). This is something to discuss with your doctor, especially regarding meal safety.

If you experience any concerning side effects, contact your doctor. Never adjust your dose or stop taking the medication without their guidance, as this could trigger more seizures.

I don't take that one but I do take one like that Clonazepam for seizures, keeping you calm ect, we are all different to how we react to medications,
Take care of yourself 🙏
