Having surgery done is not guaranteed to eliminate seizures because surgery depends on the patient.

I had a left temporal lobectomy and I've been seizure-free for 25 years.

1998 left temporal lobe brain surgery
It didn’t reduce my seizures but their frequency from moderate and severe to mild and moderate today

2005 the VNS
Didn’t work

2022 gad the VNS taken out and the DBS put in.
It is working well . It reduced my seizures from 30 a month or once a day. 3 to 6 seizures a month.

I've had left temporal brain surgery several months after my test surgery. It helped my seizures not being as severe when started having them again (was 9 months seizure free at first). As I've gotten older I hardly have them anymore.
