Every person is different as each person has a different immune system that will react in different ways. I can provide you an example of my experience that may assist with your question.

At a young age I obtained a high fever that was difficult to lower, that high fever brought on a grand mal seizure that was quite difficult to manage. Eventually both seizure activity and fever activity were maintained but it did take time for the doctors to reach the best determination how to manage safely since I was such a young child.

We discovered from testing results in my late 20's there was a scar on the left side on my brain. That scar went back to the original activity that took place when I was a very young child experiencing the high fevers and grand mal seizures. That's the best example I can provide for how I had gotten the beginning stage of having epilepsy.

Colds, fevers, flu, covid 19, anything that puts stress on you mentally or physically can cause a lot of us to have seizures cause it is stress. Stress is a major trigger for many.

It can. It really depends on how bad it is and how sensitive you are to this kind of trigger as its different for everyone. Normally I'm fine but I just like to be more careful if I do get sick as I have had a random seizure happen before when I was sick.
