Thank you for your reply. He meets with his surgeon for a follow up visit this month. I am not certain what they are going to recommend for him. He did have several focal aware seizures when he was in the hospital having the SEEG. They told him that he was not a candidate for surgery because the cells were too scattered and in the left side of the brain. It could affect his speech and memory. He remains very positive about it all. Thanks again.
Good post, I have not had that, I agree with the ai mentioned about it and other people's opinions here, but then go to your doc about the post here and go from there about it and good luck with your outcome with it my opinion here, amen

I have had an RNS for 6 or 7 years. I too had an SEEG where I failed have any seizures so it wasn’t much. I was told there was no surgery that could be done to heal my epilepsy. A few years later I got the RNS (Neurostimulator). The RNS not only helps control your seizures but it also records each seizure you have. Any time I have a seizure someone will touch my head with a magnet 🧲. That will highlight the spot where a seizure occurred. Before I go to bed every night I turn the RNS monitor on and place a wand on my head. It will just take a minute to download all of the information and send it to my doctors. When I go see my neurologist and the RNS team they turn on their computer and can see everywhere I had a seizure, aura or used the magnet. Most of the lines on the screen are level but when they go to a spot I had a seizure the lines get bouncy ——-wwwwww——. The doctors write down any important information. Since I continue to have seizures the doctors have risen the watts on my RNS several times. To do that all the doctors have to do is place a wand on my head and do some adjusting on the monitor. I never feel any vibrations or other things. I pray you have luck.
