Dave I'm sorry to hear your wife is having problems. I trust all goes well for her. Be sure I will keep you and your wife in prayer. People I know will discuss a condition they have with me. they know I'm a man of prayer and will support them as much as possible.

I think she should be allowed to figure out everything at her own pace. Eventually, she may want to discuss her illnesses with others, but it can't be rushed.

Some ppl keep their emotions about being diagnosed with an illness internalized until they process it themselves first. That’s when they start to talk about it with others. I didn’t tell anyone about my cancer diagnosis until I was near the end of when they said my life expectancy was. I accepted that I had cancer and went about getting my affairs in order. I still have it- never had it treated and I’m still alive almost 20 years after they said I’d be dead. Guess that saying that only the good die young is true lol. I also have COPD, and I accepted that right away- both my parents smoked- mom was a 2 pack a day smoker and would cook and eat with a cigarette going and blow the smoke right in my face. And then I started smoking and still do. Along with a lot of my diagnosis of different diseases, some I accepted right away and others I had to internally process b4 I was willing to say the words out loud to anyone other than my dogs as they don’t say anything, they just keep loving u no matter what is wrong with u. But I would open up to a couple close friends and then my family. Mom didn’t believe anything, so I didn’t want to start with telling family members first. I would tell myself that there’s nothing that can be done about it so there’s no sense in crying over something that can’t be changed; along with my belief that there’s always someone somewhere who has it worse than I do.
