I was very blessed to have a baby girl and she’s always been there with me when something happened and she always made sure to make sure that I was always going to be fine

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. There’s medication now that u can be put on for the duration of ur pregnancy and it doesn’t harm the fetus, but I would highly suggest that u have some help for the first little bit just so ur not sleep deprived and having seizures Otherwise there’s no reason u should hold back on being a parent unless u don’t want to be one. I know lots of epileptic parents and they do just as good as someone without epilepsy

The local University did a Study of Me and My Meds giving the percentage of diseases that the baby could get from it. It was very low and let Me know the meds I shouldn’t be taking. I went by the study and started taking folic acid. I changed My Meds and later on had a beautiful baby!

Just because you have Epilepsy doesn’t mean that you can’t have a baby. I know I’m not a female, but I do have Epilepsy. I have two kids.. my kids are young adults and have not been diagnosed from Epilepsy.

if I remember right . Men with Epilepsy have a lower percentage of their child or baby developing Epilepsy. 1.0% - 3.6%

A female with epilepsy has a little higher percentage of their child developing Epilepsy.
2.9% - 8.7%

The most important thing is to alert your hubby that there’s still a possibility your child having epilepsy.

I have 1 child and I didn't have any problems. The only thing I would have done differently was to have my son go through a taper. I was on phenobarbital, which is very addictive. My son had to go cold turkey.
