Members shared heartfelt and hopeful thoughts about what life could look like if a cure for epilepsy were found, with many focusing on the freedom they would gain. Several members described dreams like finally getting a driver's license, returning to work, taking long road trips, swimming, or traveling to see loved ones, things that seizure concerns currently limit. A recurring theme was gratitude mixed with hope, as many acknowledged the personal growth that came from living with their condition while still dreaming of a life with fewer medications and restrictions.

I would drive a ton. I work at home, but used to go the the pilates studio. I'd also go to the nursery to get plants.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, I am glad I got my license. I am always driving somewhere mostly for everyone else. Without taking any long trips in my truck, I have put 40,000 miles on my truck in 4 years. The farthest I drive in a week is a 40 minute drive to church. Sometimes I drive that twice a week.

It is different for each person. Like mine, my tumor is what causes my seizures. The surgeries I had killed the part of the tumor that was causing my seizures since it couldn't be cut out! Now I am 7 years seizure free.

I would drive anywhere and everywhere I wanted to- probably for many, many hours!!! I would have to update my nursing education- but then work again; and have enough money to pay bills 😊. Husband of 34 years decided to cheat with 31 yo mutual friend and have baby ( he’s almost 60.. they live next door.). I would get as far away from ex as I possibly could!!!
