Members widely related to the experience of mumbling or losing the ability to speak before, during, or after a seizure, with many describing it as a warning sign they've learned to recognize. Several members shared how they use this as a cue to take rescue medications like Lorazepam or Valium, while others described the frustration of knowing what they want to say but being unable to get the words out. A recurring theme was how frightening and isolating speech difficulties can feel, especially around others who don't understand what's happening.

This could be with what part of the brain you're having the seizure.
